KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Faisal Sabzwari on Wednesday admitted that he had been to the United States but presently he is in Pakistan.
“I did not undertake the US visit for the first time. But, now I am in Pakistan which is my true identity,” Faisal Sabzwari said.
He said MQM was going through tough times. However, he added that the workers stand united and organised under the party’s leadership.
Sabzwari said the attempt to crush MQM has fizzled out.
“We became members of the assembly by virtue of association with MQM,” he said, adding that‘this membership was MQM’s trust in me’.
He clarified that MQM members had voluntarily tendered resignations from assemblies.
