ECP accepts nomination papers of Abdul Aleem, Ayaz Sadiq for NA-122
ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday rejected the objections against the nomination of Abdul Aleem Khan of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
ECP rejected the objections filed by Dr Anbar Shehzad against the candidate of PTI for the NA-122 re-polls.
Meanwhile, the ECP today also accepted the nomination papers of former National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz

ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday rejected the objections against the nomination of Abdul Aleem Khan of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
ECP rejected the objections filed by Dr Anbar Shehzad against the candidate of PTI for the NA-122 re-polls.
Meanwhile, the ECP today also accepted the nomination papers of former National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) for the by-election in NA-122 Lahore.
All objections filed by PTI against Ayaz Sadiq’s eligibility were rejected by ECP.
The NA-122 seat was vacated after an election tribunal de-seated Ayaz Sadiq.
The polling for the by-election will be held on October 11.
Furthermore, the scrutiny of nomination papers for PP-147 Lahore has also been completed.
Appeals can be filed against rejection or acceptance of nomination papers till September 17.
