Corps Commander Karachi, CM Sindh discuss extension in Rangers’ powers
Qaim Ali Shah apprised the Corps Commander over reservations of Sindh Government and its viewpoint on the extension of the powers of paramilitary force.

KARACHI: Corps Commander Karachi, Lt-Gen. Naveed Mukhtar on Thursday called on Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah and discussed law and order as well as the issue of extension in special powers of Rangers.
Sindh Home Minister Sohail Ahmed Siyal and Senior Minister Murad Ali Shah were also present at the meeting held here at CM House.

Qaim Ali Shah apprised the Corps Commander over reservations of Sindh Government and its viewpoint on the extension of special powers of the paramilitary force.
The extension given to the Rangers in August had expired five days back. Later, the Sindh government linked further extension in powers to the approval of Sindh Assembly.
