KARACHI: Temperatures in Karachi could reach 39°C after March 30, the Pakistan Meteorological Department predicted Wednesday.
In a weather update, the PMD Karachi director said the port city is likely to experience hotter weather starting tomorrow (Thursday).
The Met department official said dry and hot winds will blow from northwest in Karachi.
Talking about the intensity of heat increasing, PMD said the temperature is likely to be 4°C to 6°C higher than usual.
In March, the normal average temperature has been 32.4°C so far, the Met director said, adding that temperatures are likely to rise to 36°C to 38°C.
The wind direction will change due to the departure of the Western system, he said.
