Kasuri says India easing its tough posture towards Pakistan
Former foreign minister Khursheed Mehmood Kasuri says there is a shift in India’s policy towards Pakistan, as the former has started realizing that by adopting a hostile posture it will gain nothing.
ISLAMABAD: Former foreign minister Khursheed Mehmood Kasuri said there is a shift in India’s policy towards Pakistan, as the former has started realizing that by adopting a hostile posture it will gain nothing.
“It is due to this realization that Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj is undertaking a visit to Pakistan,” Khursheed Kasuri said while talking to Geo News.
"I am hopeful that Sushma Swaraj's visit to Pakistan will produce positive results", he said.
The former foreign minister said the Indian minister’s visit to Pakistan must be the result of a thought process and predicted that things will, certainly, move forward.
He said the high-profile visit is taking place following the meetings of the Pak-India prime ministers and foreign secretaries.
The former Pakistani minister said it would be a big change if a revival of bilateral cricket takes place. “Except for the extremists, citizens from both the countries will welcome this development,’ he added.
