ISLAMABAD: ‘Savour Foods’ in Blue Area remains sealed as the objections raised by the District Administration Islamabad were not addressed till Thursday evening.
District Administration in Islamabad sealed the ‘Savour Foods’ outlet in Blue Area, Islamabad, after officials found their kitchen to be operating under unhygienic conditions and presence of substandard food items.
The authorities also summoned health certificates of all kitchen staff employed by ‘Savour Foods’.
Authorities raided the outlet in Blue Area on Wednesday afternoon as part of a crackdown against restaurants and outlets selling substandard food items.
Update:
‘Savour Foods’ will have to satisfy the administration that all objections raised by the department have been addressed, which will be followed by a second inspection of the premises before the outlet is allowed to reopen for business.
Till Thursday evening ‘Savour Foods’ was unable to address the administration’s concerns and remains sealed.
The District Administration Islamabad had also raided a food-packing factory in Golra and ordered it to be sealed, after officials found the food being packed to be substandard.
