Over 100 kg substandard meat seized in Lahore raid
LAHORE: Authorities conducted a raid at an illegal slaughter house on Friday as part of the Punjab government’s drive against the elements involved in the business of substandard meat.
A team of Department of Live stock carried out the raid at the slaughterhouse located in Green Twon area of the provincial capital, seizing three maunds of substandard meat.

LAHORE: Authorities conducted a raid at an illegal slaughter house on Friday as part of the Punjab government’s drive against the elements involved in the business of substandard meat.
A team of Department of Live stock carried out the raid at the slaughterhouse located in Green Twon area of the provincial capital, seizing three maunds of substandard meat.
Kashif Jalil, in-charge of Lahore Meat Inspection Team, said two suspects were also arrested in the raid at the slaughterhouse where sick animals were being slaughtered.
He said more raids were being carried out to arrest the butchers responsible for bringing the sick animals to the slaughterhouse.
