QUETTA: Former Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Balochistan Police, Qazi Abdul Wahid was gunned down by unknown armed men on Sariab Road here on Wednesday night.
Police said, unidentified armed men opened indiscriminate fire on Qazi Abdul Wahid at Arif street when he was on his way to go somewhere near his residence.
Qazi Wahid received nearly eight bullets and was critically injured. He was shifted to Civil Hospital, where he later succumbed to his wounds.
Wahid had retired from Balochistan police as DIG two years ago.
