PIC says large number of Afghan refugees involved crimes
LAHORE: The Punjab Intelligence Center on Wednesday revealed that a large number o Afghan refugees living in the province are involved in criminal activities.
In a letter to security agencies, the Punjab Intelligence Center said evidence gathered by it indicates involvement of Afghan citizens in crimes such as collection of extortion and kidnapping for ransom.

LAHORE: The Punjab Intelligence Center on Wednesday revealed that a large number o Afghan refugees living in the province are involved in criminal activities.
In a letter to security agencies, the Punjab Intelligence Center said evidence gathered by it indicates involvement of Afghan citizens in crimes such as collection of extortion and kidnapping for ransom.
The letter further said that Afghan citizens were found involved in the criminal activities in major cities of the country including Lahore.
"During the search operation, it has been observed that illegal money can be used in financing terror activities", the letter added.
Security agencies have also been asked to closely monitor roads linking Punjab to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
