FIA unearths 18 gateway exchanges, arrests 20 accused
LAHORE: FIA Cyber Crime Circle Lahore claimed to have unearthed 18 gateway exchanges and arrested 20 accused involved in illegal business.
Deputy Director Cyber Crime Circle Punjab Lahore, Syed Shahid Hussain said this while briefing at his office here on Friday.
He said on the directions of Project Director Cyber Crime Circle a grand operation had started against grey operators.

LAHORE: FIA Cyber Crime Circle Lahore claimed to have unearthed 18 gateway exchanges and arrested 20 accused involved in illegal business.
Deputy Director Cyber Crime Circle Punjab Lahore, Syed Shahid Hussain said this while briefing at his office here on Friday.
He said on the directions of Project Director Cyber Crime Circle a grand operation had started against grey operators.
Under this plan he constituted a team under the supervision of SI Asharoon and other officials.
They collected information and traced the accused involved in running gateway exchanges illegally and active SIMS through bio metric system.
He said that about ten cases had been registered against the grey operators and other accused during the operations.
Deputy Director said the team unearthed 18 illegal gateway exchanges and recovered more than 1000 GSM active SIMS and seven biometric SIM activation devices.
