KARACHI: Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah on Tuesday held separate meetings with Corps Commander Karachi Lt Gen Naveed Mukhtar and PPP patron-in-chief Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari in which overall political and law and order situation of the province among other issues was discussed.
During the meeting with the corps commander, implementation of decisions taken by the provincial apex committee formed in connection with the National Action Plan (NAP) was discussed in detail. Issues relating to transferring cases to the military courts were also discussed between the two.
Meanwhile, PPP Chairman Bilawal called on the chief minister and discussed prevailing political situation in the wake of actions taken by the federal institutions in Sindh, sources told Geo News.
Chief Minister Shah briefed his party chairman about the arrest of former petroleum adviser Dr Asim Hussain.
Sources further said that details, given by Federal Minister for States and Frontier Regions Abdul Qadir Baloch to the CM Sindh, were also shared with the PPP chairman.
