KARACHI: A young boy has committed suicide after killing a female classmate at a private school located near Gururmandir in Karachi, police said on Tuesday.
According to police, the student shot dead his female classmate – both students of class 10 (Matric) – before committing suicide in the class-room of the school located in Patel Para area of the city near Gurumandir.
A student at the school told Geo News that they heard shots when they were attending assembly. He said upon entering the classroom, they found the two students lying dead in a pool of blood.
Police said they were investigating the incident and have included the family and the school administration in the probe.
According to police, both students had also written letters to their parents before the incident, apparently asking them for forgiveness. But police said they were still examining the letters to ascertain their authenticity.
