According to sources as part of the implementation for the National Action Plan (NAP) 703 madrassas in the Federal Administerd Tribal Areas (FATA) have been blacklisted in which 50,000 students including 18,000 women are being educated.
Out of the 703 unregistered madrassas, over 292 are in North Waziristan and 204 in South Waziristan.
