ISLAMABAD: A local court has accepted bail plea of DJ Butt, sound-man of Pakistan Tehreek-s-Insaf (PTI) during sit-ins in Islamabad, against a surety bond of Rs100,000.
A local court in Islamabad had issued non-bailable arrest warrants for DJ Butt for violation of Section 144 and the Amplifier Act during the party's sit-in in the federal capital last year and directed the police to present him before the court on September 03.
Today, DJ Butt presented Rs100,000 surety bond along with two personal guarantors, which were accepted by judicial magistrate Waqas Rasheed.
The local court had issued non-bailable warrants for Butt for continuously remaining absent from court hearings.
The case was registered against Butt at the Secretariat Police Station in Islamabad last year.
