KARACHI: Pakistan Rangers Sindh arrested six target killers belonging to a political party in an operation in Ranchor Line area of Karachi on Monday.
According to the Rangers spokesperson, among the target killers taken into custody is Khurram alias Muchar, who is involved in target killings, extortion and concealing of arms. The spokesperson added that Khurram is a close aide of MQM Unit 28 In-charge.
The Rangers spokesperson also said that another target killer’s name is Mehmood who is a highly motivated worker of MQM Unit 20.
He further said the accused was arrested in November 2014 and then released on bail.
The spokesperson added that Mehmood confessed to being involved in 47 cases of killings, torture and kidnapping.
A large cache of arms and ammunition was also recovered from the possession of those arrested.
