Lyari ‘gangster’ killed in police encounter
KARACHI: A group commander of a notorious gang was killed in an alleged police encounter on Saturday in Lyari, police said.
Aftab Nizamani, SP Lyari, said the police carried out a raid on a tip off regarding presence of the suspect in Eidolane area of Lyari.

Aftab Nizamani, SP Lyari, said the police carried out a raid on a tip off regarding presence of the suspect in Eidolane area of Lyari.
He said the suspects opened fire on police and one of them, identified as Irfan alias Billa, was killed in retaliatory fire by the law enforcers.
Nizamani said that Irfan was affiliated with Ghaffar Zikri gang of Lyari. He was wanted in different crimes including, murder, attempted murder and extortion.
