NA adopts bill on local government setup in Islamabad
ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly on Wednesday passed a bill regarding local bodies elections in the federal capital Islamabad.
The bill was tabled by Minister of State for Interior Baligh Ur Rehman during the session presided over by Deputy Speaker National Assembly Murtaza Javed Abbasi.
All the lawmakers belonging to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf were not present during the proceedings.

ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly on Wednesday passed a bill regarding local bodies elections in the federal capital Islamabad.
The bill was tabled by Minister of State for Interior Baligh Ur Rehman during the session presided over by Deputy Speaker National Assembly Murtaza Javed Abbasi.
All the lawmakers belonging to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf were not present during the proceedings.
Speaking before the approval of bill, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said that government has accepted all proposals put forward for the local bodies election bill by the opposition in the Senate.
The session was put off till Thursday morning.
