COAS arrives in Italy on three-day visit

ROME: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif arrived in Italy on a three-day official bilateral visit on Monday, the ISPR reported.
According to DG ISPR, Major General Asim Saleem Bajwa, a number of meetings and visits have been lined up with political as well as military leadership.
Upon his arrival, the COAS met the Italian Foreign Minister, during which a detailed discussion on regional security took place. The Italian FM appreciated Pakistan's positive role for regional security and stability.
He also commended the Pakistan Army as a symbol of great hope for peace and stability of region and the entire world.
The COAS also visited Air Defence Head-Quarters of the Italian Army in the field and was briefed in detail on weapon systems, doctrine and training.
