KARACHI: Three people drowned while reveling at the Gadani beach on Sunday the second day of Eid.
Warnings by the civil administration fell on deaf ears as revelers continued to bathe in the rough seas off the Gadani beach. Three individuals were swept away by the strong tide. Divers were deployed to recover the bodies of the deceased.
Last year nearly two dozen people drowned off the coast of Karachi. In light of the loss of life last year the civil administration had issued warnings ahead of the Eid holidays this year warning revelers to be wary of the rough tide and avoid going into the water.
