LAHORE: Veteran Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader, Aitzaz Ahsan Sunday while admitting that his party’s politics of reconciliation caused it a big damage, said those hatching conspiracies to crush PPP must bear in mind that his party is a reality and it will continue to stay as such.
Addressing a gathering at an Iftar dinner reception, Aitzaz Ahsan said reconciliation means tolerance and fair dealing and it is not about lending support to the one who is losing ground.
He said the elections of May 2013 were tainted with rigging. When ballot bags for NA-124 were checked they contained rubbish, he added.
Aitzaz Ahsan said his party had already told the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif that whether the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)- led sit-ins succeed or fail, they will end up causing a huge damage.
He said the projects of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and Nandipur power plant are tales of corruption.
He said despite the fact that the Rawalpindi Metro Bus project was worth Rs45 billion, not a single tender was floated for the same.
