PM Nawaz discussed all issues including Kashmir with Modi: Rashid

LAHORE: Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid has said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif discussed all disputed matters including Kashmir with his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi during their meeting on the sidelines of Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit in Ufa.

In a media statement here Saturday, Pervaiz Rashid described dialogue process a good omen for peaceful environment in the region.

Commenting on Karachi operation, the information minister said, “There is no difference between the Centre and Sindh government over the powers of Rangers. The paramilitary force has made Karachi peaceful with hectic efforts.”

The PML-N-led government eliminated terrorism from the country, adding that it also achieved success in the action launched against the extremists in Karachi.

Former president Gen. (retd) Pervez Musharraf weakened the Kashmir cause, he asserted and added that the measures adopted by Musharraf affected freedom movement of Kashmiris.
