KARACHI: Commissioner Karachi Shoaib Ahmed on Tuesday presided over a meeting to review arrangements in connection with the upcoming Yaum-e-Ali (RA) and also issued a number of directives to the concerned authorities.

KARACHI: Commissioner Karachi Shoaib Ahmed on Tuesday presided over a meeting to review arrangements in connection with the upcoming Yaum-e-Ali (RA) and also issued a number of directives to the concerned authorities.
The Commissioner ordered free supply of water through tankers to the mosques and Imam Bargahs and quick completion of repair work on various roads.
He said the Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah has released a special grant and, therefore, there was no more room for complaints relating to lack of funds by any department.
Shoaib Ahmed also directed K-Electric not to carry out loadshedding on specific feeders on Yaum-e-Ali (RA).
He ordered the concerned authority to remove graffiti from the routes of Yaum-e-Ali (RA) procession and also to ensure the routes are clean.
Yaum-e-Ali (RA) will be observed with reverence in Pakistan and elsewhere on the 21st Ramazan.
