MQM threatens to boycott Senate, NA, unless Asif apologises
KARACHI: The Mutahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) rabitta committee demanded on Tuesday that Federal Defence Minister Khwaja Asif apologise to the 50-million-strong Muhajir community for hurting their sentiments.
The MQM’s coordination committee in a press conference threatened to boycott proceedings of the National Assembly and the Senate, if Asif did not apologise.

The MQM’s coordination committee in a press conference threatened to boycott proceedings of the National Assembly and the Senate, if Asif did not apologise.
MQM leader Dr. Farooq Sattar stated that Asif’s statement displayed a chauvinist and discriminatory mindset. He added, that the party would protest at the Karachi Press Club at 4PM today against the defence minister’s statement.
