MANDI BAHAUDDIN: Responding to Imran Khan’s allegations, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Hamza Shahbaz Friday said people have buried the slogan of ‘rigging’ once and for all by voting in favour of his uncle Nawaz Sharif.
Speaking at a rally organised in connection with an upcoming by-polls in NA-108 here, he said rigging in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s local government election had become a test for Imran Khan.
The by-polls are scheduled for June 8 after the seat got vacated due to disqualification of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) MNA Ijaz Chaudhry over fake degree and concealment of assets.
Hamza said those who wasted people’s seven month during Dharna should build Naya KPK first.
He said peasants would prosper with the help of his father Mian Shahbaz Sharif’s policies.
“Pakistan too will prosper if the peasants prosper,” he said.
“Youth will get employment due to government’s policies and that would be exactly what you call Naya Pakistan,” Hamza Shahbaz added.
