Take money from govt, but vote Bat, Imran advises masses

GILGIT-BALTISTAN: Criticising the ruling PML-N for what he termed ‘attempts of purchasing people’s conscience’ in the wake of elections here, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Wednesday advised the public to take money from government but vote only for Bat, the electoral symbol of PTI.
Khan has arrived here on a two-day visit in connection with his party’s ongoing poll campaign for upcoming elections of Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assembly. Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rashid is accompanying him during the trip.
Speaking in two separate public rallies in Astore and Chilas, the PTI chief said everyone has made an alliance to defeat his party in the upcoming polls.
“People should accept money from the merchants of consciences, but vote only for Bat”.
Khan’s arrival has injected a new wave of enthusiasm among his fans and PTI activists of the area. He was greeted with huge welcome banners and hoardings. The party workers were also seen dancing to PTI anthems.
