Pakistan cannot progress without eradicating terrorism: Shahbaz
KARACHI: Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif on Wednesday said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar were serious in restoring peace in the metropolis, adding the country cannot progress without eradication of terrorism.

KARACHI: Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif on Wednesday said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar were serious in restoring peace in the metropolis, adding the country cannot progress without eradication of terrorism.
Speaking to media representatives after meeting with PML-N leaders and office bearers at Punjab House here, he said that constructive discussions were held with Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah and Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan over terrorism.
Shahbaz further said that the issue cannot be resolved through arms alone and all four provinces will have to join hands for the same.
He said that Sindh CM and Governor have been invited to attend the inauguration ceremony of Islamabad Metro Bus service.
Commenting on power shortages, the Punjab CM said that the premier was also striving to resolve this chronic issue as he has signed a $10 billion electricity generation project with China.
Criticizing Imran Khan’s PTI, he questioned what have those, beating the drum of polling rigging, done for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. He claimed Punjab police was apolitical and based on merit.
Speaking about Axact fake degree scam, Shahbaz Sharif said that his government hasn’t taken any step against the software company.
