Double murder convict executed in Kot Lakhpat jail
LAHORE: A condemned prisoner was executed in Kot Lakhpat Jail on Wednesday morning.
The convict, Javed alias Jeeda had killed two persons, Qasim and Siddiqui, in Cantt Kechhri area of Lahore on 19 September, 1987.
The trial court had awarded him death sentence twice in 1989.
The court issued death warrants of Javed after his mercy plea was rejected.

Meanwhile, death warrants of three condemned prisoners of Adiala Jail were suspended on the order of sessions judge Chakwal.
All the arrangements were made for hanging convicted prisoners Javed Sultan, Muhammad Rafiq and Ikram Hussain in Adiala Jail Rawalpindi today.
The court issued orders to suspend the death warrants after the parties settle the matter.
