Killers of Rana Shamshad to be brought to justice: Punjab
KAMONKI: Speaker Punjab Assembly Rana Iqbal and Law Minister Rana Sanaullah on Monday said the investigation into Rana Shamshad murder case was underway, assuring that his killers will be brought to justice.
Talking to newsmen after offering condolences to slain lawmaker’s family, Rana Iqbal said the provincial government will not interfere into the interrogation of the case.

KAMONKI: Speaker Punjab Assembly Rana Iqbal and Law Minister Rana Sanaullah on Monday said the investigation into Rana Shamshad murder case was underway, assuring that his killers will be brought to justice.
Talking to newsmen after offering condolences to slain lawmaker’s family, Rana Iqbal said the provincial government will not interfere into the interrogation of the case.
Sanaullah claimed that the killers of Rana Shamshad have been identified, saying police have registered an FIR against Rafique Ghaniyawala, his two brothers, father and four unknown people after they were nominated by the slain MPA’s brother.
Regional Police Officer (RPO) Waqas Nazir said the killing of Rana Shamshad was a result of political enmity and a land dispute. According to the post mortem report, Rana Shamshad received 7 bullets, two of which hit him in the head and proved lethal.
