Top civil-military leaders review Zarb-e-Azb

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday chaired a high-level civil-military meeting in Islamabad to discuss matters relating to the ongoing military operation Zarb-e-Azb.
The meeting was attended by Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif, DG ISI Lt-Gen Rizwan Akhtar, Interior Minister chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, along with other senior civil and military officials.
According to a press release from the ISPR, the meeting “reviewed progress on operation Zarb-e-Azb and discussed matters relating to the return of TDPs (temporarily displaced persons).”
“The meeting also reviewed progress on National Action Plan and discussed measures for its more effective implementation,” said the statement.
