KARACHI: Corps Commander Karachi Lt-Gen Naveed Mukhtar on Friday evening called on Governor Sindh Dr ishratul Ebad Khan and Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah and discussed prevailing law and order situation in the metropolis.
Implementation of decisions taken in recent Apex committee meetings were reviewed in the meeting held separately. Recommendations to expedite implementations of Apex committee’s decisions were also discussed.
Expressing their satisfaction over recent arrests made in connections with the Safoora carnage, the corps commander and the governor agreed to continue and bring more impetus to the ongoing ‘impartial’ operation against terrorists and criminals in the port city.
