This would have been enough to end career of any politician in Pakistan, Fawad on Indian leader’s speech
BJP leader Maneka Gandhi delivered the speech in Sultanpur's Turabkhani area.
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry on Friday lashed out at Bharatiya Janata Party (PPP) leader Maneka Gandhi for her controversial speech to the Muslim voters.
The BJP leader was accused of coercing Muslim voters to vote for her or else she won’t work for them.
“Can anyone imagine to get away with such rubbish in Pakistan? Answer is no,this would have been enough to end political career of any politician but this is what so called Worlds biggest democracy has to offer.... Sad to see Gandhi and Nehru’s country going through this phas,” wrote Fawad Chaudhry while sharing a link to TV footage of BJP leader’s speech.
In the video, the woman leader says: “I am winning. I am winning because of the love and support of people. But if my victory is without Muslims, I won't feel that good.
(Things will become sour). Then when a Muslim comes to me for work, I think let it be, how does it matter".
Maneka Gandhi delivered the speech in Sultanpur's Turabkhani area.
“It's all give and take, isn't it? We aren't all sons of Mahatma Gandhi, are we? (laughter). It's not that we keep on giving and then losing in the election. This victory will happen with or without you," she said.
