PPP slams govt calling NA session off at the last minute
Talking to the media at the Bilawal House media cell, Naveed Qamar and Dr Nafisa Shah, stated that this was akin to stealing the mandate of 200 million people of Pakistan.
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has denounced in strong terms the ad hoc last minute calling off of the national assembly session to give space for the President to promulgate the Amnesty ordinance to regularise off shore properties.
Talking to the media at the Bilawal House media cell, Naveed Qamar and Dr Nafisa Shah, stated that this was akin to stealing the mandate of 200 million people of Pakistan.
No ordinance is allowed if the assembly is in session and this is a high handedness of the government to call off the Session just so they could bring in the amnesty ordinance by stealth, the party said.
This is the 2nd Amnesty Scheme in 7 months, the first one being Aleema Amnesty.
Meanwhile, the stock market has lost 30 per cent of its value in the last two years. In the last two weeks days they have lost more than 1000 points as confidence of businesses continues to shake with lack on govt clarity on the issue of IMF.
