PM approves first tax amnesty scheme
Sources said that the amnesty scheme will be implemented through a presidential ordinance on April 15.

ISLAMABAD: Prime minister Imran Khan has approved in principle the first tax amnesty scheme after it was presented and briefed by federal finance minister Asad Umar at a meeting here on Monday.
However, after the prime minister gave the formal approval, a summary will be sent to the federal cabinet for final approval at its meeting on Tuesday.
Sources said that the amnesty scheme will be implemented through a presidential ordinance on April 15.
The first tax amnesty scheme will provide people with the means to legitimise all kinds of offshore and onshore undeclared assets.
Initially, the assets declaration scheme will be implemented for 45 days.
