KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah paid surprise visit of different areas and expressed serious displeasure of the parking of vehicles on the roads by showroom owners.

The chief minister along with Minister Local Government Saeed Ghani and his Advisor Murtaza Wahab undertook surprise visit of the different areas such as Shahrah-e-Quaideen, Tariq Road, Khalid Bin Waleed Road, Shaheed-e-Millat, Khudadad Colony and Saddar area.

The chief minister during his visit to Shahrah-e-Quaideen got out of his vehicle and called DIG Traffic and Commissioner Karachi and complained that the showroom owners have grabbed the main road and service lanes by parking their vehicles.

“These roads are important in terms of traffic flow and how they dare to park their vehicle on them,” the chief minister questioned and said that despite all his directives nothing had been done to remove these.

The chief minister took the DIG Traffic to Khalid Bin Waleed Road, Tariq Road and Saddar and showed him all the show room owners had displayed their vehicles on the main roads and service lanes. He directed him to start the operation today and report to him.

The CM also directed Commissioner Karachi to call all the Municipal Commissioner of DMCs and direct them to ensure proper cleaning of their areas.

“Garbage is lying along the roads and the DMCs seems to be in slumber,” he said and directed the commissioner to wake them up for doing their work.

During the visit the chief minister visited two underpasses being constructed on Shahrah-e-Quaidin at Tariq Road and Khalid Bin Waleed Road Interchanges. He reviewed the progress and quality of the work and directed the PD on phone to ensure completion of the work by end of June 2019.

The chief minister during his visit to Saddar took view of Empress Market where a compound wall was being constructed. He also issued directives for proper and smooth flow of traffic in Saddar areas.
