Bank accounts of at least 4,863 individuals have been frozen in the country, revealed National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) on Monday.

ISLAMABAD: Bank accounts of at least 4,863 individuals have been frozen in the country, revealed National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) on Monday.
As per a report issued by NACTA, an approximate of $136 million have been settled from the frozen accounts by the State Bank of Pakistan.
It was revealed further that 178 additional names were added into the forth schedule upon the directives of security institutions while according to the terrorism act the forth schedule holds the names of 8,307 individuals.
The report stated further that 69 outfits were declared banned while two are presently under examination.
On the other, action is also being taken against over 20 outfits who are operating after changing their names.
