Tania Mallet of James Bond's 'Goldfinger’ fame passed away on Saturday at the age of 77.
While additional details regarding her death are not yet known, the star widely known for her modeling career and her role in the 1964 James Bond film breathed her last on Monday as announced by the official James Bond Twitter handle who said on Sunday:
“We are very sorry to hear that Tania Mallet who played Tilly Masterson in Goldfinger has passed away. Our thoughts are with her family and friends at this sad time.”.
Born in Blackpool on May, 1941, Mallet, the cousin of Academy Award-winning actor Helen Mirren, began her career in Hollywood with an audition for the Bond girl Tatiana Romanova in ‘From Russia with Love’ which she could not get her hands on, but had later garnered fame as she appeared as Tilly Masterson opposite Sean Connery in the third James Bond film Goldfinger.
The Bond film marked her only big screen acting role as did not appear on the silver screen after that and continued her career in modeling.
