Karachi: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah taking serious note of using un-fair means by students in the on-going matriculation examination in Sukkur region has placed the service of Controller of examination of Sukkur educational board under suspension.
Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Shah on the directives of Sindh chief minister visited different examination centers in Sukkur region and found students were openly resorting unfair means in their matriculation examination at some centres.
The education minister reported the chief minister that not only cheating was committed at a few examination centres but there were credible reports that question paper issued by the Sukkur educational board was also leaked at a centre before start of the examination.
The chief minister on the report of education minister has suspended Abdul Sami Soomro, Controller of Examination, Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education and gave the charge of controller of examination to deputy controller. This notification has also been issued.
Sindh chief minister Syed Murad Ali Shah directed administration of all the educational boards to strengthen their examination system, otherwise similar actions would also be taken against the concerned officers of the educational boards.
