Husband assaults wife for not going with his friends after he lost her in gamble in Chiniot

CHINIOT: A woman was tortured brutally by her husband after she rejected his demand of going with his friends after losing her in a gamble on Sunday.

As per reports by the police, the woman who identified herself as Mehwish had appealed for the registration of a first information report (FIR) when she revealed that her husband named Ali Raza was a drug addict and gambler.

She stated further that he along with three of his friends had gotten into a game of gambling on Saturday night where Raza had bet his wife but had lost.

Upon her refusal to go with his friends, Raza had critically injured her beating her up and attacking with a sharp weapon.

Police revealed further that the FIR has been filed and the suspect has been taken into custody.
