Vote count underway in Multan's PP-128 after polling wraps up
The vote-tallying process is currently ongoing for by-election on the vacant seat of PP-218 that wrapped up earlier in Multan on Sunday.
MULTAN: The vote-tallying process is currently ongoing for by-election on the vacant seat of PP-218 that wrapped up earlier here on Sunday.
The polling process that commenced at 8am today ended at 5pm without any break with the vote counting process presently going on in 138 polling stations.
Reports revealed that out of all the stations, 32 were named sensitive having at least a thousand law enforcement personnel deployed around them.
The seat was being contested by six candidates with the leading rivalry being Pakistan People’s Party and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
Election Commission revealed earlier that an approximate amount of 203,188 people had been expected to cast their votes today.
The seat had fallen vacant earlier after PTI leader Mazhar Abbas Raan had passed away.
