ISLAMABAD: Minister for Human Rights Shireen Mazari has taken notice of torture of Lahore woman by her husband for refusing to dance in front of his friend.
Shireen Mazari took to Twitter saying “Took notice and checked - my office was informed by SHO PS Kahna Lahore.”
She went on to say police have registered FIR and arrested both accused and booked under sections 337-v and 506. One of the arrested is Faisal her husband.
“Medical report of the woman is awaited,” Mazari added.
A woman in Lahore's Defence area has accused her husband of subjecting her to torture after she refused to dance in front of his friends.
Asma Aziz told Geo TV that her husband used to force her to dance in front of his friends.
She said when she refused to dance,her husband Mian Faisal along with one of his friends beat her with a pipe and cut her hair.
