ISLAMABAD: Former President Asif Ali Zardari on Wednesday approached the Islamabad High Court for pre-arrest bail in fake accounts case, according to Geo News.
In the application filed in the IHC, the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) leader stated that he has until now received three summons and was not aware of the number inquiries being carried out against him.
He said the National Accountability Bureau might arrest him in one of the inquiries..
The applicant requested the court to grant him pre-arrest bail until the trial is complete and there was no option other than court to avoid the arrest.
The former president prayed the court to bar the NAB from arresting him,
The application filed by the former president of the country made NAB Chairman Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal and Deputy Director NAB respondents.
Asif Zardari also filed an application seeking complete details of cases against him.
The PPP leader is on interim bail in the fake account case.
