Former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi’s name has been suggested by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to be added on the Exit Control List (ECL) in reference to the investigation going on against the liquefied natural gas (LNG) contract case.
RAWALPINDI: Former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi’s name has been suggested by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to be added on the Exit Control List (ECL) in reference to the investigation going on against the liquefied natural gas (LNG) contract case.
As per sources, a letter by NAB to the interior ministry has been written that appeals for the ex-premier’s name to be placed on the ECL.
Sources citing the anti-corruption unit revealed that the letter has been written after DG NAB Rawalpindi Irfan Naeem Mangi’s approval and includes that Abbasi’s name should be added on the basis of the LNG contract case which is presently under investigation.
The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader had presented himself before NAB Rawalpindi today following the declination of his petition seeking 15-day immunity from appearances.
"If NAB calls me everyday then I will come everyday. I have provided NAB with all documents that they asked for,” he said talking to the media following the NAB appearance.
