Islamabad/Karachi: Pakistan has received $2.1 billion from China, Finance Ministry spokesperson Dr Khaqan Najeeb and State Bank of Pakistan has confirmed.
Dr Najeeb took to Twitter saying, “Deposit of RMB 15Bn equivalent to $2.1Bn received in State Bank of Pakistan account on Mar 25th 2019 from China. Successful Government of Pakistan multipronged strategy to ensure stability in #BOP including curtailing C/A, improving remittances and ensuring adequate FX financing. Forex reserves increase to comfortable level.”
Later, State Bank of Pakistan formed in a statement saying “State Bank of Pakistan has received RMB 15 billion value today equivalent to $2.2 billion as proceeds of the loan obtained by Government of Pakistan from China.”
