CJP takes notice of Brigadier (retd) Asad Munir's letter written before suicide
Asad Munir was found dead at his flat in Islamabad on March 15. Before his death the former intelligence office and Member Estate CDA wrote a letter to the Chief Justice of Pakistan.
LAHORE: Chief Justice of Pakistan Asif Saeed Khosa on Thursday took notice of a letter which Brigadier (retd) Asad Munir wrote before committing suicide.
The letter was addressed to the Chief Justice of Pakistan in which former Member Estate Capital Development Authority (CDA) said he was giving his life in the hope that the chief justice would bring positive changes in the system where incompetent people are playing with the life and honor of citizen in the name of accountability, in a reference to National Accountability Bureau.

According to Geo News, the chief justice has directed the NAB to submit details regarding reference against Asad Munir. The court, however, has not fixed any date for hearing on the suo motu.
Asad Munir who also served an intelligence agency was found hanging from the ceiling fan at his flat on March 15.
Family sources said Munir was deeply upset over the treatment meted out to him by NAB over an inquiry into restoration of a plot in F-11 area of the federal capital.
