Japanese Consul-General addresses orientation for MEXT students in Karachi
In his opening speech, Consul-General of Japan in Karachi, Toshikazu Isomura, said that better educational facilities will enhance the students’ capabilities of learning which will benefit their country of origin in the longer run.
KARACHI: Consulate-General of Japan in Karachi hosted an orientation ceremony for the MEXT Research Scholarship students based in Sindh and Baluchistan, on Tuesday.
The scholarship is provided by the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) giving students from all around the world an opportunity to learn from Japanese universities.
In his opening speech, Consul-General of Japan in Karachi, Toshikazu Isomura, said that better educational facilities will enhance the students’ capabilities of learning which will benefit their country of origin in the longer run.
Later, he handed out essential documents to the students for their trip ahead and wished for great success for the students in their future endeavors.
Furthermore, MEXT alumni and students who have previously gone to Japan shared their experiences to allow the research students a well-informed start to their journey.
The next application procedure of the MEXT Scholarship program 2020 will start from April. The Consulate-General of Japan in Karachi will have outreach sessions about the program at universities and institutions around Sindh and Baluchistan in order to invite more students to apply.
