Bilawal's message on International Woman’s Day: ‘Women are the future of Pakistan’
Chairman PPP pays tribute to Shaheed Benazir Bhutto and lauds Pakistani women
KARACHI: Chairman Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on the occasion of International Women’s Day held on Friday 8 March, gave a message related to this day saying ‘Women are the future of Pakistan.
The Chairman continued to say that without Pakistani women durable progress in the world is not possible.
Bilawal mentioned the sacrifice of his mother Shaheed Benazir Bhutto saying that his party PPP appointed a woman as its leader for the first time.
He continued to say that Peoples Party has and will continue to make woman’s role strong and build a progressive, feminist Pakistan in the coming years.
Chairman Peoples Party turned to twitter today to pay tribute on the occasion of International Women’s Day to his mother and all women of Pakistan.
Shaheed Benazir Bhutto was the first female prime minister in the Muslim world.
Being a woman she battled extremism, authoritarianism and patriarchy for 30 years of her political life.
In Bilawal’s first tweet on the occasion of International Woman’s Day he paid tribute to his mother.
Following the first Tweet, PPP Chairman turned to tweeter to pen down a poem in Urdu
The poem is in honour of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto just appropriate for the occassion along with a picture of Bilawal and his siblings with their mother.
