ISLAMABAD: No, Prime Minister Imran Khan has not asked Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry to resign, stated @FakeNewsBusterMoIB, the ministry’s official Twitter account.
The account is created by the info ministry to bust the fake news.
It tweeted an image captioned “Imran Khan has asked Fawad Chaudhry to resign” and clarified that the news is fake.
“Dissemination of #FakeNews is not only illegal and unethical but is also a disservice to the nation. It is the responsibility of everyone to discourage such irresponsible behavior. Reject #FakeNews,” it added.
The Capital is nowadays abuzz with rumours of the information minister’s resignation since news of his conflict with PM’s aide Naeemul Haq emerged on media.
Both have targeted each other on social media as well.
