ISLAMABAD– Pakistan has formally invited Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad which the premier has accepted, and will be arriving in Islamabad on March 22 on a state visit in which he will be a chief guest on Pakistan Day event.
The visit comes after Prime Minister Imran Khan went to Malaysia for a two-day visit last year in November where he officially invited the Malaysian leader to attend the March 23 ceremony in Islamabad.
During Imran Khan’s visit both leaders both discussed a wide range of bilateral, regional and international issues of mutual interest.
The two leaders are expected to hold meetings and sign Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in investment and trade sectors during the Malaysian PM’s visit to Pakistan.
