KARACHI: Sindh Assembly Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani was sent on physical remand till March 1 a day after the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) took him into custody from Islamabad.
According to Geo News, the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) leader was handed over to NAB on physical remand.
His lawyer told the Accountability Court that family of his client was harassed and still not being allowed to meet Durrani.
Earlier, the Pakistan People's Party lodged strong protest in the National Assembly against the arrest of Sindh Assembly Speaker.
The NAB arrested the PPP leader on charges of accumalating assets beyond known sources of income.
