Pakistan calls back High Commissioner in India for 'consultations'
Paksitan has called back High Commissioner in India for consultations. He left New Delhi this morning, the FO said.
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has called back High Commissioner in India for consultations following the diplomatic tensions between the two countries after the Pulwama attack.
The Foreign Office Spokesman Dr Mohammad Faisal tweeted that the High Commissioner has left New Delhi this morning.
"We have called back our High Commissioner in India for consultations," he said.
The Indian government has been fanning the anti-Pakistan rhetoric since the Pulwama attack in which over 40 Indian soldiers were killed when a suicide bomber targeted their convoy in Occupied Kashmir last week.
New Delhi has blamed Pakistan for the attack, however, Islamabad maintained that the baseless Indian allegations and aggressive rhetoric were counterproductive and a threat to regional peace.
Several Indian companies have too bowed down before the pressure and has pulled out of agreements with Pakistani counterparts.
IMG Reliance, which entered into agreement with Pakistan Cricket Board for production of PSL 2019, has refused to continue working with the board.
Several Indian cricket associations have removed pictures of Pakistani players from their premises.
